A wonderful establishment that is also a sublime restaurant in one of the most beautiful islands in the world. It is necessarily almost inaccessible and not only because it’s hard to reach, but especially for the prices and for the fact that it is always full. You have to book a lot in advance.
Let’s go back to the difficulties in reaching “La Fontelina”. You can get there going down the steep 200-300 meters descent from the end of Via Tragara or tacking via Barchino from Marina Piccola. I recommend walking on the way there and returning by sea.
The place is, as mentioned, very beautiful, set in the rocks overlooking the Faraglioni and Marina Piccola.
The sea, being deep and open, is beautiful, very clean.
Being exclusive (and expensive) the Fontelina’s policy is to keep the sun loungers at a certain distance in order to give privacy and comfort to the guests.
At the restaurant, you eat well, clearly seafood.
Linguine alla “Fontelina”, with a huge variety of seafood.
Then fried calamarelle.
Finally, as a dessert, a cake with pine nuts and a decomposed cannolo.
To drink strictly white wine with peaches.
