Hotel Mercer, Barcellona

What can I say, chef Jean Luc Figueras certainly has a deserved Michelin star.

The Hotel Mercer is really beautiful, a hidden jewel between the streets of the historic center of Barcelona, ​​a mix of ancient and modern.

High class restaurant, professional service, kind and prepared maître, obviously super – refined and very good dishes, amazing  wine (a red Monsant D. O. of the Cellar Celler Comunica).

I recommend: as a starter a pearl of foie gras covered with white chocolate, then cannolicchi with artichokes, raw prawns with salmon roe and prawn risotto, and as dessert a chocolate cake with cherries.

The atmosphere is very romantic, the music in the background impeccable.

Obviously high prices but for a special occasion it’s worth it.
